Peek at the week of ~ February 6 – 10

If you have not returned rank cards, please do.
Tuesday is a Bake Sale put on by Grades 3-5. Please send in a goodie for us to sell. Thank-you.
MONDAY
Ms. Sullivan will be here for Music today.
Our story this week is one of my favorites – Roxaboxen.
In Science this week we will begin Chapter 10 on “Work and Machines.”
TUESDAY
BAKE SALE! All items will be $.50. It is Library Day ~ pack those books. Bring your sneakers ~ it's Gym day with Mr. Elliot.
We have a Social Studies test today. Did you study?
WEDNESDAY
Don't forget your sneakers! We have gym again with Mr. Elliot.
Do you know all the 50 states? We are beginning our learning the states and capitals adventure in Social Studies.
THURSDAY
I will be out today and Mrs. Merritt will in.
We will have our Reading assessment on Roxaboxen today.
FRIDAY
Ms. Kelley will be here for Art this morning.
It is Friday we will have our Spelling test today.
We will have our second quarter assessments today in both Reading and Math.

Peek At the Week ~ January 30 – February 3

    Rank cards have come home. If you have any questions and/or concerns please feel free to contact me. Please sign the envelope and return the rank card by Friday.
    If your child has boots please have him/her wear them and bring their sneakers in their backpack. The playground is very wet and when the shoes get wet first thing in the day they are sitting with wet shoes all day.

We will review perimeter and area in Math.
Our story this week is “The Emperor's New Clothes”.
TUESDAY
We have library and Gym. Remember to pack your books and sneakers.
We will explore solid figures in Math.
WEDNESDAY
Woo-hoo! Gym again today, so pack your sneakers.
In Math we will find the volume of solids.
THURSDAY
Happy Groundhog Day!

How is the volume and area different? Hmmm...
We have been working with pural nouns in Language.
FRIDAY
Ms. Kelley will be in for Art.
We will have our reading and spelling assessments today.
Honor Roll assembly is this afternoon at 2:00.
