CWCIT has been awarded a grant that will bring Bridge Academy to our schools, allowing students to earn early college credits in math, English, social studies, and science while taking a career and technical education course. Interested sophomores will sign up for Bridge Academy in the spring. They also will sign up for early college classes at either Machias or Narraguagus High School, and any one of the 9 CTE courses through CWCIT. The cohort of students who sign up in the spring of their sophomore year will belong to a cohort that will be provided with supports to choose a career path, succeed in academic classes, and enter college with an average of 24 to 30 credits already earned. We will be bringing this to sophomores in our 3 sending schools very soon.
