Week of December 8, 2025
It seems that winter is here with the snow and colder temperatures! Please let me or your child’s teacher know if you need assistance getting coats, hats, mittens, boats, or snow pants for your child. We do not have these on hand but will help find some!
This is such a busy and fun time of year. One thing I always remember from this time of year is how my family would have a movie night as we counted down to Christmas. My mom was famous for giving in and letting my brother and me open the newest VHS she was planning to give us as a Christmas gift (this was before streaming!). We loved getting that “early” present, and over time it just became part of our traditions. We still tried to act surprised that she would give us a movie early…
As the stress of the season starts to build, I hope you take time to enjoy the small moments. A movie night at home, making cookies, a favorite holiday story—those little things often become the traditions we hold onto the most.

Tuesday, December 9 | •Christmas Concert at 6:00 PM, students should arrive by 5:45. Please do not disrupt the students and plan to stay for the entire concert and silence your cell phone. •There will be No EdGE After-School Program today |
Wednesday, December 10 | •A new milestone day of school… stay tuned to hear what your child has to say about today! |
Thursday, December 11 | •2:45 Good News Christmas Party for students in K-4 who have registered. This is NOT a school sponsored activity. Please send a note if your child is staying for this event. |

•December 15: Grades 1, 2, & 3 will go to the Milbridge Theater to see the Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers perform “The Grinch” at 12:00 Noon / Spirit Day: Wear Fancy Christmas Clothes
•December 16: Ugly Sweater Day & PTSG Christmas Shopping Day (Volunteers needed)
•December 17: Spirit Day: Snowman Day (wear white!)
•December 18: Spirit Day: Tinsel Toes: Wear Christmas socks & PTSG Christmas Craft Day (Volunteers needed)
•December 19: Spirit Day: Wear Santa hats, headbands, etc.
•December 22: Spirit Day: Wear: Christmas PJs & Early Release (11:30)
•December 23-January 2, 2026: Christmas Vacation!
